*NEW STUDIO RECORDING BY EMANUELE CISI FOR MONO JAZZ
*180-GRAM DOUBLE VINYL
*FEATURING DADO MORONI, NICOLAS THYS & JORGE ROSSY
Rushin’ is Emanuele Cisi’s first release for Mono Jazz and a deep return to the essentials: swing, melody, blues as spiritual space, and the spontaneous beauty of improvisation. The album was recorded in just a weekend, with most tracks completed in one or two takes to preserve raw energy and discovery. Cisi is joined by an all-star lineup including pianist Dado Moroni, bassist Nicolas Thys, and drummer Jorge Rossy. On select tracks, trumpeter Cesare Mecca joins, adding a fresh, youthful voice to this intergenerational project. The session breathes new life into the Blue Note aesthetic, paying tribute to legends like Hank Mobley, Lee Morgan, Jackie McLean, Randy Weston, and Coltrane, while delivering heartfelt originals that resonate with contemporary spiritual jazz movements.
