Not many artists can release as few records as Sade Adu but still have a vast and enduring influence over music many decades on. As good as she was in the booth, she also translated that on stage as this live album recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon, London almost exactly 40 years ago on December 29th 1984 attests to that. Sade had released only her debut album, Diamond Life, when she recorded this one so tracks from it feature heavily and sound remarkably similar to the album versions. All the favorites are present and correct and make for a stunning listen all these years later.
